Last updated: March 2026 · VRULL GmbH, Beatrixgasse 32, 1030 Wien, Austria · contact@vrull.eu
VRULL GmbH (VRULL, we, us) operates the website at vrull.eu. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit our website, why it is processed, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (Datenschutzgesetz, DSG).
We have designed our website to be lean by default. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party cookies, analytics tools, session recording tools, or social media pixels.
1. Data Controller
The data controller responsible for this website is:
VRULL GmbH
Beatrixgasse 32
1030 Wien
Austria
contact@vrull.eu
If you have questions about how your data is handled, please contact us at the address above.
2. Hosting and Content Delivery (GitLab Pages)
This website is hosted using GitLab Pages, a service provided by GitLab Inc. When you access this website, GitLab automatically processes certain technical data necessary to deliver the requested pages. This may include:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Requested page (URL)
- Referrer URL
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
These data are processed by GitLab as part of the secure and reliable operation of its hosting infrastructure. The processing of this technical access data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).
Further information on how GitLab processes personal data can be found in GitLab’s privacy policy.
3. No Access to Server Logs
The operator of this website does not have access to the server logs generated by GitLab and therefore does not process or store this technical access data directly.
4. Contact Form
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we act as the data controller for the personal data you provide. The form collects the following fields:
- Name
- Email address
- Company
- Message (free text)
This data is transmitted to our backend infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU (eu-west-1) and delivered to us via email. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry and any related follow-up communication.
The contact form includes a CAPTCHA mechanism to prevent automated abuse. The CAPTCHA does not collect personal data beyond verifying that the submission is made by a human visitor.
We do not use contact form submissions for marketing purposes, add you to mailing lists, or share your data with third parties without your explicit consent.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
Retention: We retain contact form data for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and for a reasonable follow-up period, and in any case no longer than three years unless a longer retention period is required by Austrian commercial or tax law (Unternehmensgesetzbuch, Bundesabgabenordnung).
5. Data Sharing and International Transfers
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We may disclose data where required by law or in response to a lawful request by Austrian or EU public authorities.
GitLab Inc. is headquartered in the United States. When you access this website, technical data may be processed by GitLab on infrastructure outside the European Economic Area. GitLab’s data processing practices and applicable safeguards are described in GitLab’s privacy policy.
6. Cookies
This website does not use cookies or tracking technologies.
7. Analytics
This website does not use any analytics services. No visitor behaviour is tracked, measured, or reported.
8. Your Rights Under GDPR and DSG
As a data subject under the GDPR and the Austrian DSG, you have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request confirmation of whether we process personal data about you, and if so, a copy of that data.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You may request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or where you have withdrawn consent.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): You may request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): You may object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests. We will cease processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): Where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means, you may request a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@vrull.eu. We will respond within one month as required by Article 12 GDPR.
Since the server logs are processed directly by GitLab and are not accessible to the website operator, requests regarding these logs may need to be directed to GitLab.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe we have processed your personal data in violation of applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian data protection supervisory authority:
Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde
Bauermarkt 1
1010 Wien
Austria
dsb@dsb.gv.at · www.dsb.gv.at
You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your habitual residence or place of work within the EU.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The current version is always available at vrull.eu/privacy-policy. Material changes will be indicated by an updated date at the top of this page.
